Travelling with your pet
At the Veterinary Hospital, we have a number of OVs (official veterinarians) who are trained and authorised to complete export documents for pets who need to travel abroad, including the OV-66 authorisation for Australian exports.
For travel with a dog, cat or ferret within the EU, an Animal health certificate (AHC) is required. Please download the following document which has details on the specific requirements for travel, details on how to book, and a questionnaire which must be completed and returned to the practice before the appointment.
For travel outside of the EU, additional documentation is usually needed, depending on the country. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements and to get booked in with the appropriate clinician. Further information about export requirements can be found here: Taking your pet dog, cat or ferret abroad: Travelling to an EU country or Northern Ireland – GOV.UK
